Transcultural Pilgrim: Three Decades of Work by José Bedia is on exhibit currently at the Miami Art Museum. Bedia, a member of Cuba’s “Generation of the ’80s,” has traveled to the Sonoran Desert in Mexico, North American Plains, Amazonian rain forest, Dominican countryside, and the Central African savanna, among numerous other locations, in search of artistic and spiritual peers for the last 30 years. This exhibit includes large-scale figurative paintings, installations and drawings.
On July 21st, at 1 PM, you can catch a curator-led tour of the exhibition. The tour will highlight Native American elements in Bedia’s work.
