Lox With Black Beans & Rice: Portraits of Cuban Jews in Florida is a revealing exhibit of photographic portraits celebrating the unique Cuban Jewish lifestyle and religion from nearly four decades of arroz con pollo y diaspora. Miami is well-known for its Cuban residents who color the streets with vibrant culture, music, and food, but many forget just how many of these Cubans are actually “Jewbans.” The group may speak Spanish, but their deep roots go far back to Spain, North Africa and Eastern Europe.
Showing Tuesdays-Sundays.
