The artists behind curator Rochi Llaneza’s Love, Infatuation or Lust are asking a deceptively simple question: “When you seek love, you can become saturated with infatuation or lust. Is there a clear difference?”
Llaneza states that the whole thing is an experiment, and that “the visual expression of these emotions is the goal.” The answers come from a group of artists who have or have had links to Florida International University, including Catalina Jaramillo, Juan Griego, Donna Torres, Tamara Hervera, Maria Lino, Hugo Moro, Luisa Mesa, Gary Fonseca, Magda Ortiz and Aleli Egues.
The show opens this February 13 and features music from the {In-Boxes} collective, as well as Daniel E. Fernandez and Kenneth Martinson.
